Official First Day Cover autographed by Michael Bond

This is an official first day cover bearing a set of commemorative stamps cancelled on first day of issue: January 31st 1989. The cancellation is with the special hand stamp commissioned by The Teddy Bear Museum in Ironbridge, Telford. The museum is still open today. The cover has been autographed by Michael Bond (1926 - 2017) author of a series of books about the marmalade loving bear. Michael Bond signed first day covers are now scarce and expensive. Always popular, Paddington Bear has attracted renewed interest over the last year or so.
